Daniel Scott Johnson (born 1966, Houston, Texas, United States)

Living and traveling to many different places, being inspired, an admirer of mother nature, helped him to explore the concept of landscape in a non-factual way, investigating the dynamics of landscape, including the manipulation of its effects and the limits of spectacle based on our assumptions of what landscape means to us.

First introduced to art at a young age, Dan attended classes at the Milwaukee Museum of Art and later, the University of Houston. Having had experimented with many different artistic mediums. Dan’s technique stands out as whimsical and fun.

A bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and a minor in Business, Dan began working as a graphic designer and a graphic imager in the textile and film industry. Through this experience, helped build some of his artistic achievements.

Some of the great artists from the “Abstract Expressionism” movement have been a source of inspiration.

Having art displayed at the Kennedy Center, Washington, DC and the Louvre in Paris was a great honor. Also having work appear in many publications as well.

He lives and works in Rochester, Minnesota
